Not keen on strutting your stuff in a traditional gown?

Here at Cindabella we know traditional is not for everyone.

If you are one of these people or simply want to jazz up your look this ball season, this article is for you.

Listen up Cinda-liciouses; it’s time to get creative and express yourself.

Drama Queen

If you dream of a dramatic entrance with all eyes on you, try out our simple hints to create a look that screams ‘wow’. Use fabrics and make up in deep colours, dresses with unusual silhouettes and anything with sparkle.

Nothing catches your eye quite like a spot of glitter and shine. For elegance and drama to the extreme, try a dress with a train or long black gloves.

The Sex Kitten

Sweet yet sultry, the Sex Kitten look is achieved by creating the ultimate balance of sexiness and modesty- so that it is appropriate for your school ball.

Avoid looking trashy by only revealing one feature; your chest, legs or back. A low cut back can look amazing by balancing the dress with a high neckline. While avoiding going over the top, do accessorise and find an amazing pair of heels.

Capture your look with a mysterious fragrance to keep you feeling fresh and sexy all night.

The Classic Lady

Using the inspiration of glamour icons such as leading-lady Audrey Hepburn, go for a timeless look this ball season and avoid the cringe of ball photos in 10 years time. Opt for a dress constructed with clean lines and a cut that fits your body like a glove. Work with a colour scheme of white, black or matte gold to keep your look classic and elegant.

Own your outfit by accessorising with freshwater pearls, a petite evening bag and stunning shoes. Keep your make up simple yet effective and let your inner beauty shine through.

Flirty and fun

For those of you who haven’t enjoyed balls in the past due to the formal and serious standard of dress required, step outside the box to find your suitable ball gown. Try a dress on the ‘edge of formality’ and go wild with prints, details and abstract cuts.

Use accessories from the latest trends and team colour with sparkle. Make a statement about your personality through bold shoes, a metallic clutch or long shimmering earrings.

Too Cool for School

Too cool for a high school formal?  Rebel within limits and arrive in hot pink and black. Create an edgy look with fishnets, gloves, statement shoes and a heavy wrist of bangles and bracelets.

Coloured temporary hair dye can look hot when pulled off correctly. Contrast pretty bows and gloves with edgy silhouettes and fabrics.
